Tutorial that will explain how to install this script on your server/host!

Step-By-Step Tutorial

1. Get a host that allows you to upload this kind of a script.

2. Download, install and run FileZilla or other FTP program (I'll be using FileZilla).

You can download FileZilla from this links:

Offical Site: http://filezilla-project.org/
Direct Download Link: http://downloads.sourceforge.net/filezilla...win32-setup.exe

3. Lets upload the script to our server now!

4. If there was error uploading 1 file (file .htacess) to your server leave that alone, you have sucsessfuly uploaded the script to your server/host.

5. Now lets install the script. Go to your domain, there should be an error "Cannot Connect", ignore that (it means it can't connect to database because we didn't set it up yet). Lets install the script. You can do that by entering install.php after your domain name (example: www.domain.com/install.php). Install looks like this:

As you can see you need server, name, username and password of your databe. Lets fill out the form: (example of my database)

What is this? Oh no an error! DONT PANIC!

Lets fix this error, first open FileZilla (or other FTP program) and do this:

There lets try clicking continue again.

Success! We completed the first step, now lets fill this form out:

There now lets continue.

Great last step, fill everything out and click continue.

Finaly we completed the installation, now you have to remove install.php file from your server or rename it!

Look below for the end of tutorial.

6. We are done setting up our server. Now lets try uploading Image.

Lets wait a little bit!

Oh no!
Q: Why did this happen?
A: This happend because the direcotry "images" isnt CHMODed to 777 (the number means it has all permissions).

Lets fix this! You have to open FileZilla and do this on directory "images":

There you are done! Everything should work now. If I made a mistake please post a replay, also make comments.

And Admins, can you make this sticky! smile.gif

I got 2 questions.

The first one:

Warning: mysql_connect() [function.mysql-connect]: Access denied for user 'motoe0'@'localhost' (using password: NO) in /home/motoe0/public_html/evopic/inc/config.php on line 11
Could not connect

That's the error when I type my domain address www.motoevolution.net/pic_storage but, when I type www.motoevolution.net/pic_storage/index.php it goes well. How can I fix that? Do I need to create a subdomain?

The second one:

When I try to upload an image it gets freezed, it didn't upload the image. I changed the attributes of the images folder to 777. How can I fix that?

Is pic_storage the directory where your script is installed, or is it the directory where you put uploaded images in?

What do you mean it gets freezed, does the website freeze or does the image freeze, I realy can imagine that, could you post a screenshot please.
(also, could you make a new thread).

I think your configurations are wrong, check them again. Does this message show when you try to upload an image from computer?

I get an internal Server Error when I attempt to CHMOD all directories and files to 777.
Its necessary to CHMOD the directories to 755 (the exception being images folder to 777).
Try that and keep us advised.#
Thanks

Not just images folder, also inc/db.php, never forget that, it's very important to chmod db.php to 777, because if you dont the installation wont write the db info.

Means you entered the wrong image file type. There are some probles in V1.4.3, if you upload a picture with high caps file type (like this: .JPG) it will give you an error.

I just have one question. In the above example , you put :
Bandwidth [Guess] : 15 GB . Does it (bandwidth) refer to just one guest or total guest ?
